Open Position: Fiscal Officer

Employment Hours: Part-time, 10-15 hours per week, during normal business hours.
Salary Range/Grade: Set by the Board of Trustees based on education and experience
The Pemberville Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking applicants for the position of Fiscal Officer. The Fiscal Officer manages the library's fiscal operations and is responsible for an annual budget and appropriations. The Fiscal Officer serves as the chief financial officer of the library and ensures that financial operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations, the policies of the Board of Trustees, and sound financial practices. The Fiscal Officer processes payroll and manages benefits. The Fiscal Officer works closely with the Director and staff of the library. The Board of Trustees appoints the Fiscal Officer and reports to them to discharge duties assigned by state statutes and regulations. The Fiscal Officer must exercise independent judgment in solving most problems within the assigned work area. Work is reviewed through periodic audits of records, statements, reports, and monthly reports to the Board of Trustees.
